OBJECTIVES

The Employees’ Old-Age Benefits Institution under the Ministry of Labour, Manpower and Overseas Pakistanis, Government of Pakistan is an organization responsible for payment of benefits to industrial, commercial workers etc in the light of Article 38(c) of the Constitution of Islamic Republic of Pakistan.  The Institution collects 6% of the wages from employers and pays pensions to the millions of workers by generating income from investments in government securities, equities and Real Estates.  The Institution is currently managing an investment portfolio of Rs. 117.00 billion.

To earn the maximum yield on the funds generated through collection of contribution from employers, EOBI has formed a company “PAKISTAN REAL ESTATE INVESTMENT AND MANAGEMENT COMPANY (PVT) LIMITED, duly registered with Securities Exchange Commission of Pakistan with a paid-up capital of Rs. 100 Million. The company is responsible for acquiring land, its development, constructing of state of the art Shopping Malls, Hotels, Residential Complex etc.

SCOPE OF ACTIVITIES

1- Conceptualization  of new real estate investment opportunities.  

·      2- Planning/study of new projects.

·      3- Appraisals of real estate properties and determine feasibility for its development through in-house as well as by

             outsourcing assignments.

·       4- Selection of consultants for planning, design and construction supervision of various projects.

·       5- Procurement of works.

·       6- Monitoring the physical and financial progress of the projects though specially created in-house Project Management

 u          units.       

·       7- Marketing the projects through outsourcing to specialized firms.

8- Maintenance and management of real estate portfolio.
